Admin His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche will celebrate his 80th birthday on Thursday, October 3, 2024, according to the Tibetan calendar. He is a highly esteemed spiritual master. For the Sakyapa, he is the heart itself and ultimate guide for all followers of the school.
The 80th birthday holds significant importance in Tibetan tradition, inviting everyone to participate. Sakya monasteries and centers worldwide will join in the celebrations, wishing His Holiness good health and a long life to continue sharing his wisdom and blessings.
How to Contribute
Material Gift:
Khenpo Tashi will travel to India for the celebrations at the Sakya Centre in Dehradun. Contributions are welcome to cover the event costs, including supporting monks and nuns who will perform the rituals. Offerings can be made clicking the donate button.
Spiritual Gift:
Khenpo Tashi suggests accumulating White Tara mantras for His Holiness’s long life. Individuals can recite these mantras and count them. Retreats, intensive practice seminars, and group recitations will be organized at various centers.
Mantras such as Green Tara, the praise to the 21 Taras, H.H. Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche’s Name Mantra(see in the accumulation page) and the long-life prayer for His Holiness can also be recited.
