DESCRIPTION:Guided by: KHENPO TASHI SANGPO \n\n\n\nDate: TUE 26.12.2023 – MON 1.1.2024  \n\n\n\nTime: Tuesday 26.12. at 16.00 o’clock – Monday 1.1. after breakfast \n\n\n\nPlace: On-site at Sakya Tsechen Ling\, Kuttolsheim & online through Zoom \n\n\n\nLanguage: EN \n\n\n\nTranslations available: FR\, IT\, DE\, NL \n\n\n\n\nVairocana\, or the Luminous One\, one of the five Dhyani Buddhas\, is a very important figure in Tibetan Buddhism.  \n\n\n\nMeditation on Vairocana\, who embodies the supreme wisdom of Dharmadhatu\, liberates from ignorance and rebirth in lower realms. \n\n\n\nIn contrast to the emphasis on the teachings of the historical Buddha Śākyamuni in his Physical Body (Nirmanakāya)\, Vajrayana Buddhism places the timeless teachings of the Buddha’s Dharma Body (Dharmakāya) at the center of its doctrinal universe. Shamatha teaches us how to calm our constantly active mind and how to develop calmness\, clarity and concentration. Compassion is one of the four immeasurables. It is defined as the wish that others might be free from suffering and its causes. Our innate capacity for empathy is the source of that most precious of all human qualities. In this beginners course we will use the meditation on Avalokiteshvara to develop compassion. \n\n\n\nThe practical composition and constructive structure ensures that after the course you can continue to meditate independently at home with the help of the handouts. Meditating with each other is guided and then mainly in silence with feedback moments. We also pay attention to your posture. The course is given in the Sakya center and via the online platform Jitsi\, we meditate on a chair\, cushion or bench. Mats\, meditation cushions and benches are provided. Please bring your own pair of warm socks and/or shawl. \n\n\n\nCOST \n\n\n\n€ 10 per morning; 5 euros for people with a minimum income. If this is still too burdensome\, then this can be deviated from in consultation.
